Met Gala…Where was the GARDEN theme?

May… May flowers… May release of my Garden of Lust book… and the Met Gala (that was fictional attended by two of my fictional couples)… I have to say that the Met Gala fashions were a bit disappointing… it had a GREAT garden backdrop for AMAZING garden and nature fashions… not what was presented enough… I have a few in this post that I loved though they were NOT exactly what you would see in a garden… not enough vibrant goodness…

This video is how I feel the Met Gala should have been or why I feel so much disappointment…

And here are my picks for the event and most had garden elements BUT nothing really vibrant and fun and exciting… my favorite dress was BEIGE… I have nothing growing beige in my garden…

I expected to see more dresses like this…

But they were subdue like these…

My Magnolia Bellesol character of Garden of Lust would have fit in with her green dress…

Researching Landscape Design

Having fun writing about a female character who is a landscape designer… Magnolia Bellesol… so I looked to the internet for landscape design plans I think she would draw while sitting at her drafting table in her converted carriage garage…

When I did my own landscape design project, I only used a drafting pencil—no color—but if I had, I imagine using colored pencils and some watercolor paints.

Santa Anita Derby: BettingonMisters

 Writing my newest book about three romances that involve horse racing… Santa Anita Park is the setting for my FICTIONAL contemporary romance, women’s fiction book that includes: enemies to lovers, secret romances that could possibly be forbidden, single mother avoiding romance with a slick bachelor…more issues throughout the book as well will keep readers interested… Excited to release this BETTING ON MISTERS book June 7th… I love the characters, I love the subject of horse racing and I love that I’m dedicating this book to My Dad who loves horse racing and has taken me to Santa Anita Park Race Track since I was very young…

Beautiful race track… I returned to the track recently for a little research; viewing the old track with new changes that have sadly eliminated jobs which make it lose some of its old charm… but it still provides wonderful memories and vibes for me

TODAY: April 6th is SANTA ANITA DERBY DAY… I got the Daily Racing Form to give to my Dad…and it came in handy for writing my book where the main horse “BETTINGONMISTERS” in the story runs in the BIG RACE OF THE DAY… 

Skylar, Singer and Storm, the three S committee for the annual Spring Fling charity event at Santa Anita Park, seem to all be battling with three misters of their own.

 

Skylar “Lark” Lovingier, high-end fashion designer representative, back in town must quietly face her old flame and sometime nemesis, MisterCharming.

Singer Summerfield, one-time model turn handbag designer, looks to have a thing for someone she has coined MisterLucky. 

Storm Chandler, single mother and owner of a food catering empire, appears to be exhibiting the biggest secret of all that involves one MisterSlick.
