The Glorious Cause (The American Revolutionary War)

This second volume finishes up the Revolutionary War through the eyes of Washington, Greene, Cornwallis, and others. It has Shaara's trademark thorough research and engaging storytelling. The portrait of Washington that emerges from the pages is a man who keeps tight control of his anger when people don't respond as they should, and who looks for advice and help wherever he can find it. Interesting view of our iconic American hero. The book was entertaining and interesting and as I've had this and the first one on my shelf for a very long time, it was good to finally read them. I alternately read and listened and the narrator was very good.
