It's your Day!

I had so much fun colouring this image last night, my dear friend Claire was kind enough to give it to me as a gift. It's made by Kenny K and just calls for bright colours in a girly pink and purple hue.

I found the deliciously pink pattern cardstock in my scrap stash and decided to use it as the base of the card. It is double sided with the inside of the card having striped pink lines. I had to adhere a sheet of pink cardstock (also from the scrap heap) to the inner in order to be able to write my message.

I decided to matt the image with black and pink in order to make the card 'pop' a bit more with colour and I like the effect. I coloured her with a variety of mediums, them being: Pencil crayons, steadler koki pens and steadler fine tips and a white gel pen.

The pink dotted grossgrain ribbon comes out of my regular ribbon stash, while the black pearl dots came out of my embellishment collection.

The sentiment was stamped using a scrappy cat stamp from the birthday collection in black StazOn ink and then matted with the same cardstock as used for the image.
I inked the edges of the card in jet black to carry through the black on pink theme.

For once, I'll be entering my card into a few challenges:

- The Crafty Pad: Birthday Card
- Tip Top Tuesday: Anything Goes
- Kaboodle Doodles: Do it with Digi's
- Sisterhood of Crafters: Birthday card

I am sooooo happy it's Friday and I hope you all have absolutley wonderful weekends lying ahead of you!
