Do You Cinco De Mayo?

Do you Cinco De Mayo?
I wanted to share this tablescape from 2010
I plan to do another Cinco De Mayo tablescape next week and see how my skills have changed since then...or have they!
I hope you enjoy!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!!

I started with this tablecloth my Mom gave me
It's pretty old and she got it in Mexico years ago

I decided to highlight the greens and golds
I started with off-white charger plates
Added Harlequin dinner plates and salad plates
I used yellow handled silverware and a napkin that also added red to the mix of warm colors
When I don't have cut flowers to add to my table
I will often use one of my house plants
Here ivy just adds that lovely green to the table
I found this very cute candle holder at
The Classy Flea, I was over there on Sunday and fell in love with this little guy.

I sat him on this green basket to give him some height!

This oil & vinegar bottle was found when we did our Tennessee Pickin Outing,  you can check out that post Here
Notice the cute Salt & Pepper shakers hanging on the side!

I added these green wine glasses found at a yard sale

Hope you enjoy your Cinco de Mayo dinner!

Always,
Linda

I will be joining these fun parties

What a festive, fun tablescape, Linda! And "Fiesta" is the perfect compliment for it. Love that little snoozing Mexican under the sombrero. My parents went to Mexico on their honeymoon, and I fell in love with Fred there on a school trip to Mexico City and environs. I guess we should celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

XO,

Sheila

What a great tablescape! When I was teaching, we used a social studies curriculum that focused on North America. When we came to Mexico, it was always near Cinco de Mayo, and I always planned a Mexican Fiesta in honor of the day. The children really enjoyed it! xo Nellie

I love the colors you chose to highlight Linda! That O&V set is so unique and pretty and perfect for your table. I have not set up a Cinco De Mayo table yet this year so, you set the decor and I'll bring dinner?? Deal?? :-)

Hi Linda. I just love the colors on this table. I have this thing for those little planters and started collecting them a few years ago. Your's is wonderful. I am jealous that you can just run to the Classy Flea whenever you want. Takes me 5 hours to get there! Where do you shop when you come to TN? Dianne

Heck, yes...you better BELIEVE I Cinco de Mayo!!!! Every year! This year we'll be helping my stepdaughter to move on Sunday, but we'll celebrate on Monday. Better late than never, huh? :-)

I love the colors in the tablecloth your Mom brought back from Mexico. They're light enough to work throughout the Summer months on all kinds of tables!

Looking forward to your 2013 table! We ALL have improved/altered our skills over the years, so it will be fun to see how far you've come! Or maybe we'll just all be really, really jealous! :-) Have a great weekend and a great Cinco de Mayo celebration!

I love your little man taking a siesta--I wonder what he was originally? A match holder or planter maybe? Your table is so happy. I'm looking forward to your next one. Linda

This reminds me of visiting my aunt's home in El Paso in the 1950's. Wonderful table.

I am going to have to enjoy your table this year! I could not find the fabric piece that I purchased in Mexico years ago that I was going to use for my table. I have been on vacation and just gave up. Your table is enough fun, though, for both of us - lol!! Love the colors and, especially, the little man on the table. Perfect!!

Such a sweet theme! I know those glasses, they are from Arby's in the 1980s. I had them in green and blue. So lovely to see them here. As always your table looks delightful!
