Tot time Preschool Letter L

Little B has loved learning letter L

I started the week off with putting up contact paper on the window, placed the letter L above it and a small bowl of pom poms next to it. I showed Little B how to make a letter L with the pom poms, then I took mine down and asked him to try. He did great. and really enjoyed the stickiness of the paper.
In fact he liked the contact paper so much later on that afternoon I put contact paper down on his table along with his letter L bag of goodies and let him play(sensory time).

We found this leaf on one of our nature walks this week, isn't it cool, it looks just like a heart. My kids got a big kick out of this. Since leaf starts with the letter L it was even better (smile).
Little B LOVES his candy building set, We made fun Lollipops, yum.
He also made a lollipop robot. This building set is
Learning Resources Candy Construction. It's an awesome set and all the kids enjoy it.

Letter L made with Little B's Lollipop's

A lollipop house
You can't have letter L week without talking about Love... I wrote the word Love on a piece of styrofoam that had come in a package(reuse and repurpose) and added golf tee's. Little B went to town following the word/letters with his tee's.

Then I went over all the letters to spell out the word, this is Little B saying the letters.
LOVE
Leapfrog and the letter L, he enjoys watching leapfrog and since it's educational and reinforcing the learning, I'm fine with it.
Practical life skill of the week is making Lemonade, you could also add in that this is math and science because we counted our lemons, measured our lemon juice and our sugar to get it to the taste that we liked. Yummy!

SOUR.....
Big brothers even enjoyed this.
When it was ready everyone had a glass of fresh lemonade. Delicious!
By the end of the week, Little B had learned the letter L and has loved showing his love to everyone in the family.

I hope you enjoyed our alphabet learning week and can use some of these activities for your little one's.
I would love for you to join me on facebook, where we can chat about kids, family life, homeschooling and anything else you want.

  4. I love that Styrofoam and golf tees idea. I have done that with my toddler with pictures and shapes, but I never thought to do it with letters. Thanks for the great idea!
