A more chilled piece this week, heading into mythical territories I feel…
Nine worlds collided in this tree, ancient and time bound since the beginning that never was, and there they sit still, from Asgard to Muspelheim, immortal and never ending, rooted into one another as breath draws into life and death dances through space in its eternal Tarantella. The branches sway with the whims of humanity, the trunk steadfast in the certainty of their potential, the leaves providing solace for the unknowable soul that binds them, and that soul waits until all are awoken and at one once more.
I enjoyed the feel of this. It flowed brilliantly!
Thank you! I have a very special love for trees – no idea why!! – so this was great to mythologise!
Beautiful calming piece – just what I need before i do the week’s shopping at the supermarket. Thank you for bringing me peace!
BTW – I can’t see you on the inlinkz – did you forget to post your link there or is it just me being blind?
Thank you! 🙂 I tried to get something a little more relaxed and spiritual as opposed to my usual intensity of thought! (You were perfectly correct by the way, my Kindle hadn’t posted the link properly…doh!)
Dear Kingsley.
A peaceful feeling about this. I’m intrigued by your Rav Sha’ul tag.
shalom,
Rochelle
Oops – I forgot to remove that one, thank you!
In my original draft, I used the ‘Through a glass darkly…’ quote as part of a line, and had toyed with drawing an analogy / parallel between the Sephirotic Tree with its four worlds and Yggdrasil of Norse Mythology with its nine worlds.
Funnily enough, I ran out of space!!
A spiritual feel in this writing. I enjoy reading it very much.
Thank you – I finally have sunshine where I live, so something more uplifting is required!
Sunshine here too and 60F degree weather this coming week.
At last!
I liked the sense of waiting that this story implied and the bit at the end like a prophecy, it feels like you have a much larger story in there waiting to be born. 🙂
I caught the spirit immediately and was carried along… very nice
You use such powerful language. I felt drawn into another time and place. So nice.
Very epic. 🙂
