Cloche Envy

Cloches, or bell jars, were created by the French to protect seedlings or special flowers from the harsh elements. The enclosed glass dome created the perfect environment to hasten the precious flower to maturity. They have even been called,  a garden under glass, which is my favorite name for them I think!

For you and I whether we want to create a mini-green house, or store precious antique collectibles, these cloches give our efforts instant grace and class don’t you think?

I have to confess I am falling more and more in love with these centerpieces of beauty. I have found so many different ideas on Pinterest which kept me admiring them from a distance. Then I thought spring is coming so why not give some of them a try!

This beauty helped me get inspired for spring

So off to Hobby Lobby I headed to find some treasures. (Of course this might be a good time to ask If I am going to Hobby Lobby too much when the cashier asks me, “Weren’t you just here yesterday?” I sheepishly smiled. Of course I did not have the heart to say I had been there even 2 days before! Thank you Candace and Clinton for the gift card!)

Here are my cloches I made for spring. What do you think?

I even love that cloches do not have specific sizes and can even be made with wire! The fun part about them, is you can put anything in them and they can be displayed all over your home! My wire one is displayed in my master bedroom!

Jump over to Pinterest and check out some more of my favorites! Don’t forget to leave me a comment and tell me  what you like to display in your cloches!

    Sandra,
I love the one with the nest and eggs! I purchased my first cloche last year and It’s ready for spring with my bronze birds and a nest. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby closer to my home.
