TV Dinner In The Family Room

This weeks holiday table setting for 4 was arranged in our family/Television room.
The 70" round table topper is by Spode. The pleated twill khaki colored table cloth is from Ballard Designs.
It's photo shoots like this that make me wish flat screen televisions were as portable as a framed picture so they could be easily moved.

Paisley dinner napkin by Ralph Lauren. Accent plate by Royal Stafford.
Usually, there is an over sized ottoman where the table is placed which also acts as our coffee table for the sectional sofa which is still in the room but out of camera range.
The cut crystal stemware are by Zawiercie in Poland.
Dinner plate by 222 Fifth(Chain link platinum pattern). The lightweight faux stone handle flatware were purchased from HomeGoods. Unfortunately, I don't recall the manufacturer or pattern name.

Below are pictures of the same room and table but without the Christmas decorations. I actually appreciated the cleaner lines but just thought it looked more springtime than winter holiday.

Finally, a video clip highlighting all of the tablescapes I created for the 2010 year which I featured on Susan's Tablescape Thursdays.

Please visit Susan's blog for more creative and unique table settings. Happy Holidays.

Bravo, Julio! Your table AND living room are exquisite! I love all the table elements and the design. I agree...televisions are a pain sometimes, but I think we've all just come to accept them as a "necessary evil." Sometimes they're just going to be there! The presence of the television does NOT take away from your lovely tablescape in any way, though. It's a knockout! Have a great Christmas!

Oh my gorgeous! Julio, you are so talented! Loving so many things on this table, love the table topper, the plates. All yummy! I hate that I have been so busy and when not busy feeling icky that I haven't visited more lately. Maybe I can catch up in January! Hope your whole family and especially that "little American" have a joyous Christmas and New Year! I bet he is excited, he is getting to that age of "getting it". We are going to enjoy our grandson sooo much, I am excited.
Hugs to you all,
Linda and family

What a lovely table for two!! I seldom use my little round table for a meal but this makes me think I should at least do tablescapes with it.

I love how you have the mantle swags hanging down so low..very elegant room, totally! The table linens & stemware & china are all so utterly special & beautifully combined.

I have a hint for dealing with the TV. Just use your Photoshop skills to add "Merry Christmas" to the screen. Just a thought. I saw someone else do it that way.

Have a wonderfully Blessed Merry Christmas & more importantly, a HEALTHY New Year! Thanks for your friendship & all your inspiration this past year, Julio! I'll never forget the tablescape you did outside for Christmas last year. It was the first of yours that I saw & it has left an indelible imprint on my heart & mind. I only WISH I could do them like you do.

Hugs,
Rett

Wow,I love everything about your room. So beautiful. I would love to have a meal there. TV dinner in my house means a half broken snack table with pizza for dinner. I would prefer your TV dinner. Have a wonderful holiday season.

So beautiful, Julio! I loved it both ways but I think my fav was with the holiday decorations in the background. It was such a treat seeing another room in your home! I always have to click on each pic to enlarge so I don't miss any wonderful details. :)
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year...2011 is almost here!

I've come to anticipate pure elegance from you each time that I visit your post...and you never disappoint! The touch of blue in the Spode cloth is the perfect accent for your gorgeous crystal, silver, and china. The flatware is Argent, "Sophia.". The color is called gold. Thank you for sharing your beautiful design. Happy New Year! Cherry Kay
