Steph’s Shower: Tablescape Thursday

Back in October I had the privilege of hosting a small, casual wedding shower for my friend Stephanie in my home. I had planned to go with an orange-colored theme but when I found creme and brown plates I loved I decided to go with that. I was very pleased with how everything turned out and we had a great time!

In addition to the brown and creme paper goods that I found at Hobby Lobby I used my Lenox Butler’s Pantry serving pieces. I threw a piece of brown fabric on the table instead of a cloth and pulled my tall creme candlesticks off the top of my china hutch to add some height to the table. I used green as an accent color for the candles and found a green metal sign that I attached a romantic quote to with an “I” magnet (the bride-to-be new initial). On the other side of the sign we displayed a collage photo of the engagement portraits. A couple of more candles and I was done. So cute and so easy! Click the pictures to see the larger version.

I am bummed that I didn’t really get any pictures of the actual shower because once people started arriving I put down the camera. I did manage to get one picture of the bride and I love the expression on her face! She is excited about opening those gifts!

I am linking this post to Between Naps on the Porch for the 120th Tablescape Thursday. Head on over there and check out all the fabulous tablescapes. Many of them this week are Christmas-themed and just gorgeous! So many wonderful ideas and fabulous dishes out there. Have fun!

  1. Stephanie is blessed to have such a generous friend as you to host the wedding shower for her. Your table was lovely…I also spied a really good looking Welsh dresser in the background. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
