The rhubarb has grown.. and it's finally pie time!
(click photos to enlarge)
I really wanted the first pie of the season to be on the patio,
but our weather is still horrible!
So.. simple and garden style,
in the front parlor.. on my little center table it is.
I covered the table in an old vintage tablecloth and
I brought the white chairs down from my hobby room,
so as to have a more shabby style chair.
Here is an overview of the table...
I made a fluffy mixed spring bouquet..
to me the best part of spring and summer tables are the
flowers... fresh from the garden!
A mini sized pie.. with a sugared crust
just for two...
with a flower cut out in the center
(or almost center, kinda wonky :-)
and a vintage silver pie server.
My dessert plates are
Homer Laughlin
in the Virginia Rose pattern.
I love how the tablecloth perfectly frames the plate:-)
I used my unusual pie forks...
which I bought a couple months ago.
Here is the post if you would like to read about them.
The fork is laid out on a simple white napkin..
with a ric-rac trim detail.
Here is a close-up of the skirt of the tablecloth...
it has a beautiful Dogwood pattern.
and lastly... here is a birds eye view.
Thanks for joining me for pie..
Today I am joining Tablescape Thursday
Thanks for visiting,

So beautiful ... you are right about the tablecloth. I love the plates, and what a sweet little pie!
Bella, how nicely all the items complement each other in your tablescape creating a calm and peaceful ambiance. I'm only learning the art of tablescaping and your posts are so inspiring. Thank you!

Hi Bella. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving the nice comment! I absolutely love your presentation here - everything about it--the linens, the flowers, the unusual fork, the china and the pie. It is just lovely. I make a yummy rhubarb crisp, but my presentation is lacking. You've inspired me! Warm regards, Connie
So Simple and lovely. Rhubarb is one of my favorites. I haven't had it in over 25 years, since I got married and live in cities instead of a small farm
Bella, your table is stunning...from the lovely tablecloth, to the beautiful plates, to the shiny silver, to the gorgeous flowers...to the delicious mini pie, now that is a deep dish if I ever saw one!
YUMMY!!! What a gorgeous table for pie.
